DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. - Some senior citizens wanted to let the Douglas County Sheriff's Office know just how much they are appreciated in the community.

Monday, residents at the Benton House senior living facility spent the morning baking cookies for deputies.

"We also made a sign for them, thanking them and letting them know how much we support them," said Activities Director Hannah Alcala. "And praying for their safety each and every day!"
