FENTON, Mo. —A new Missouri-born smartphone app is making it easier for older people to find money-saving discounts for senior citizens.

Sciddy, founded in Fenton, will give users notifications whenever they’re near a business known to offer senior discounts.

Sciddy has a database of more than 250,000 listed discounts from food, entertainment, travel providers and other businesses from around the country. Businesses can also list their own discounts and offers.
