In December 2016, the Obama administration finalized a rule that violated the constitutional rights of many Social Security beneficiaries. Specifically, this rule denied the Second Amendment and due process rights of certain Social Security beneficiaries who need help managing their benefits because of a mental disability. This is wrong.

Recently, you ran a misleading editorial about this Obama-era rule and legislation I introduced to repeal it -- bipartisan legislation widely supported by the disability community, the American Civil Liberties Union and Second Amendment groups.
