HOLMES COUNTY, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - Lifelong Holmes County Resident Eddie Harcus lost his first wife in a car accident.
He's left with two artificial hips and yet, he still smiles.
"I'm still going," Eddie said. "That was the best part of it. Just as long as I can get some food, I'll be happy."
Feeding the Gulf Coast is expanding its services to help Holmes County senior citizens like Eddie.
Feeding America reports that more than five million senior citizens over the age of 60 face hunger. That's why Feeding the Gulf Coast is partnering with groups like the Council on Aging to make sure senior citizens don't have to make tough choices when it comes to whether or not they can afford their next meal.
