The judges have spoken and the crown has been passed to the newest Ms. Alabama Nursing Home for 2017.
Dothan resident Sarah “Sally” Scott was crowned Monday evening in a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency Birmingham - The Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover.
Scott's crown was placed on her head by Miss Alabama 2017 Jessica Proctor, who was co-host of the event.
Ms. Scott, 83, is a resident of Westside Terrace Health & Rehab First in Dothan. She worked as a nurse for many years.
Officials with the pageant say she shares a room at Westside Terrace with her husband of 34 years, Randall, and is involved in many of the activities offered at the nursing home. She eagerly welcomes new residents and helps them settle into their new home.
The winner is the mother of three children and has two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
