United Way of Northeast Louisiana is providing quilts to area seniors affected by flooding

MONROE, La. -- United Way of Northeast Louisiana has partnered with Quilts2Heal, Inc., an Avon, Connecticut-based non-profit organization, to present handmade quilts to area seniors, families, and individuals affected by March 2016 flooding.

Through this unique partnership, United Way of Northeast Louisiana has presented over 50 quilts to area people identified through community partner agencies and Workplace Campaigns.

Participating companies include Bancroft Bag, Coca-Cola, Glenwood Regional Medical Center, IBM, Louisiana Delta Community College, Mott McDonald, Ouachita Parish Schools, P&S Surgical Hospital/Specialty Management Services of Ouachita, Robertson Produce, St. Francis Medical Center, and the University of Louisiana Monroe.
