Social Security recipients can expect a 2% increase in benefits next year

Millions of Americans on Social Security can expect about a two percent increase in their monthly payments starting in January.

That works out to around 30-dollars a month for the average recipient according to projections released yesterday by the board of trustees.

The actual cost-of-living adjustments for Social Security and Medicare Part B will be announced this fall.
